Wakeboarding offers the three in one excitement of water skiing, snow boarding and surfing. It is a surface water sport, where the rider skims over the water body on a wakeboard, which will be towed behind a motorboat at a speed of 30-40 km/h depending on various factors such as the board size, the body weight of the rider, speed and the type of maneuvers that the rider intends to carry out. The wake boards can also be towed by a range of other options such as closed-course cable systems, winches, and personal water craft among others.
Instruction and safety equipment are provided.
The best season for wakeboarding in Goa is from October to May when the skies are clear and the waters calm.
Wake Boarding is similar to water skiing and the only difference between these two sports is that wakeboarding require less practice to balance.
