Surfing in Goa
Surfing is one of the oldest practiced sports on earth. A fusion of power and aesthetics, Surfing at Arambol Beach Goa, India is quite popular in many beaches such as Arambol and Calangute where the waves are small and short. Though it might appear tough, with a bit of training, anyone can enjoy the thrill of surfing.
Surf boarding can be done anywhere in the sea except near reef breaks and rocks where the surf breaks
- Choose a spot with no crowds to enjoy surf boarding as it will leave you with enough space to try out your maneuvers
- Long board paddling involves various types of moves like the slice and duck, Eskimo roll, push-ups and the shoot and scoot.
- Short board surfing is well suited in rough wave conditions
- Surf boarding is a perfect day time activity that will ensure your quota of thrill and fun
- Basic instruction and safety equipment are provided
- The best time to indulge in the water sports such as surfing is from November till the end of March.
Basic Surf Lesson 1 hour lesson.
10 minutes of instruction and 50 minutes of surfing with the instructor guiding and supervising you in the water (with no more than 4 students per instructor at a time, as per safety regulations)
(Lesson prices include a board, wax and use of a rash guard. You must know how to swim, and bring your own swimwear)
Private/Kids Surf Lesson1 hour 1-on-1 lesson with an instructor.
We recommend this for those struggling with a particular aspect of their surfing and for surfers below the age of 12 years old
Surfing Course
Thats 3 hours of lessons and 3 hours of free surfing. We suggest spreading this course out over at least 3-days.
